It’s now spring, and the warming temps mean one thing: amusement park season is here.
And if you’re looking for a thrill this spring and summer, head to Pennsylvania, which has more than 10,000 rides, according to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
As such, you’ll want to know when Hersheypark, Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom and other amusement parks in Pennsylvania will open in the coming days and weeks.
So far, Sesame Place Philadelphia, located in Langhorne, opened Saturday March 14, and Dutch Wonderland, in Lancaster, opened March 28.
Many of Pennsylvania amusement parks are included in U.S News’ most recent ranking of the 20 best amusement parks in the country.
April openings for Kennywood, Knoebels Amusement Resort
Kennywood, located in West Mifflin, will open on Saturday, April 18.
Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, will celebrate opening day weekend April 25-26.
Hersheypark opening in April
Hersheypark, located in Hershey, will open on Friday April 3.
Camelbeach, Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom opening in late spring.
Pennsylvania Amusement Parks and Attractions lists most Pennsylvania amusement parks, and some, especially water parks, will open a bit later.
