Pennsylvania’s America250 celebrations will include free shows in Erie, Hershey, Pittsburgh, State College, and Wilkes-Barre, Gov. Shapiro announced Thursday.

Five Pennsylvania cities are hosting a free America250PA concert this summer, Gov. Josh Shapiro and members of the America250PA committee announced in Hershey Thursday.

As America approaches its 250th anniversary of becoming an independent nation, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is celebrating with multiple events including the free concert series.

Here’s the lineup:

  • State College: May 23, Cole Swindell and Gabby Barrett
  • Erie: June 9, The Fray
  • Hershey: June 13, The Avett Brothers
  • Wilkes-Barre: June 20, Lady A and En Vogue
  • Pittsburgh: June 27, Third Eye Blind with Nelly.

“We know that all across Pennsylvania, we own this celebration,” Shapiro said. “Every single corner of this commonwealth and in each of our 67 counties. It’s important for us to bring alive all that there is to offer in every community across Pennsylvania to celebrate our history and to make sure we look forward to the future. These concerts are an opportunity to do that.”

How to get tickets to the America250PA concerts

America250PA officials stated that Pennsylvania residents will get the first chance at seats for these concerts.

Tickets will be available on April 17 at noon with a priority window for Pennsylvania residents through May 1.

After the priority window is closed, concerts will be open to the general public.

Once available, tickets can be reserved to any of the concerts through the America250 website.
