Wolf, Fetterman, DePasquale, and Shapiro Speak Out Against Pro-Trump Terrorist Storming at Capitol in DC

Gov. Tom Wolf, and Pennsylvania’s elected leadership, had strong reactions to the domestic terrorists who attacked the Capitol in Washington DC during an attempted coup Wednesday.

Pennsylvania’s governor, lieutenant governor, auditor general, and attorney general addressed the violence that occurred in Washington Wednesday.

HARRISBURG — Gov. Tom Wolf and Pennsylvania’s other elected leaders had strong reactions to the domestic terrorists who attacked the Capitol in Washington, DC, during an attempted coup Wednesday.

What we're seeing today is not democracy—it's an attempted coup.

We had a free and fair election. The results were clear.

Republicans from Pres. Trump to PA legislative leaders need to stop the disinformation and tell their supporters the truth before there's further violence.

Attorney General Josh Shapiro blamed Donald Trump for the violence that broke out while Congress was meeting to certify the results of the 2020 election.

Donald Trump and his enablers instigated this chaos and violence. He’s attacked our Constitution, violated our laws, and now is encouraging lawlessness. He lit the fuse and his conduct is seditious.

Lt. Gov. John Fetterman showed his confidence in America to make it through this crisis.

He also reinforced the fact that Pennsylvania had a fair and free election.

Auditor General Eugene DePasquale pointed out this isn’t the first time Trump’s supporters have turned to violence.

Just for a refresher. The @FBI foiled a plot by terrorists to kidnap and place on trial @GovWhitmer . Just perhaps elected “leaders“ like @RepScottPerry should have taken that seriously.
