Pennsylvania Legislation to amend the statute of limitations on sexual abuse cases to support adult victims who were abused as a child have been delayed repeatedly by errors in state government and versions of the bill being bundled with voter suppression legislation.
While it is possible for a full constitutional amendment that would amend the statute of limitations to appear on the November ballot if the state government is able to properly publicize the amendment in time, the Department of State has already failed before.
Shapiro has been pushing the Senate to pass a standalone bill already passed by the Pennsylvania house, calling the resistance to the bill “shameful.”
