Rutter’s is giving roller‑grill regulars something new to chew on. According to a news release, the convenience‑store chain is “redefining what it means to grab a dog off the roller grill” with the debut of its new SPAM Dog, available at Rutter’s as of Jan. 27.

The release describes the creation as “iconic SPAM flavor in an unexpected form,” blending nostalgia and novelty into “one bold, crave-worthy bite.” The release adds: “It’s proof that sometimes old dogs can learn new tricks.”

The SPAM Dog is the latest product of Rutter’s five‑year partnership with Hormel Food Corporation. According to the release, the idea took shape during an on‑site visit in Minnesota last year, where Rutter’s Food Service Team and Hormel landed on the idea of transforming the legendary canned meat into a new roller‑grill experience.

The result, the company says, is a “roller grill standout” offering plenty of sizzle and “a modern take combining two beloved favorites.”
