Local fundraisers organized to help families of slain and wounded York County officers

Local businesses and organizations are coming together to support the families of officers killed and injured during an ambush shooting in North Codorus Township recently.

Local businesses and organizations are coming together to support the families of officers killed and injured during an ambush shooting in North Codorus Township on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Here are several fundraisers you can help support:

York County Safety Collab

The York County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the York County Safety Collab, a collaboration focused on building relationships between law enforcement and the people they serve, is endorsing the ‘Honor Their Service’ donation portal as the official platform to support the families of the three fallen officers, Detective Sergeant Cody Becker, Detective Mark Baker and Detective Isaiah Emenheiser, the injured Northern York County Regional officer, and injured York County Sheriff’s Deputy David Godfrey affected by the tragedy. Donations can be made through https://yorkcountysafetycollab.org/donate/.

The portal has been vetted and endorsed by both the YCSO and the NYCRPD to provide the community with a secure and transparent way to give, according to a socil media post by the York County Sherriff’s Office.

“We strongly encourage anyone wishing to donate to use this official channel to ensure their generosity reaches the families who need it most. 100% of the proceeds donated will benefit the families and officers affected by this tragedy,” the post read.

SPIN Southern PA Incident Network

SPIN is selling short sleeve, long sleeve t-shirts, hoodies to benefit the fallen and injured officers and deputies. They can be purchased online at www.customink.com/fundraising/spinnorthernregional and all profits will be given to the Honor Their Service Fund through the York County Safety Collab.

The online store will close on Sunday, Oct. 26. You can choose to have your order shipped directly to you, or there will be a designated date and time to pick up orders. Items are estimated to arrive the second week of November.

White Rose Bar & Grill

On Wednesday, Sept. 24, White Rose Bar & Grill in downtown York will donate 50% of all sales to Honor Their Service, the donation portal to support the families of the three fallen officers and the two injured officers. Reservations can be made at tables.toasttab.com.

Moonlight Cafe

On Tuesday, Sept. 23, Moonlight Cafe, an Italian restaurant in Dover, will be donating 20% of all dine-in and takeout sales, directly to the families of the five officers. Reservations can be made by calling 717 -292-5643.

From now until Thursday, Sept. 25th, 20% of all gift card purchases will also be donated. Gift cards may be purchased online at https://app.squareup.com/gift/ML4NCQCE4Z105/order or in the restaurant.

Spring Grove restaurant T-shirt drive

Local businesses New Era Restaurant, Altland House, Marchio’s Sport Hut, C&D Bar & Grill, Goofy’s Eatery, Smith Septic, Color Wheel Flooring America & Prestige Apparel LLC. have come together to honor the fallen officers through a T-shirt fundraiser.

The blue T-shirts symbolizing police and law enforcement cost $25 and feature three phrases, ‘support the brave,’ ‘honor the fallen,’ and ‘back the blue.’ T-shirts can be purchased online at prestigeapparel.chipply.com/RisingTogether/store.aspx?action=viewall until Thursday, Sept. 25.

“100% of proceeds from every shirt sold will go directly to support the families of the fallen officers and the recovery of the injured,” a post by New Era Restaurant read.

Forry’s Drive-In

On Saturday, Sept. 27 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Forry’s Drive-In at 910 Apline Road in Wellsville will donate 20% of all sales to support the families of the five officers wih proceeds going directly to the Honor Their Service portal.
