Donald Trump and JD Vance have both spread lies that Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio are eating pets, leading to bomb and death threats in the town, classes being canceled, and even the Ku Klux Klan attempting to recruit. On Sunday, Vance admitted he spread the unfounded claims to get media attention. 

“Today we find ourselves writing the next chapter. Will we be defined by chaos or extremism? Or will we choose a path of decency and continued progress?” Josh Shapiro said.

One centerpiece of that program is dozens of never-before-published videos created for Project 2025’s Presidential Administration Academy. The vast majority of these videos — 23 in all, totaling more than 14 hours of content — were provided to ProPublica and Documented by a person who had access to them.

Congressman Scott Perry and Rob Bresnehan both received $6,600 from investment banker Ken Fisher and his wife, Sherrilyn Fisher. Fisher cost his firm nearly $4 billion in 2019 for a history of making sexist and racist comments.

Vance has compared abortion to murder and slavery, has criticized divorce, and has suggested people in “violent” marriages should try to work things out. He’s additionally said he wants to ban pornography, and has blamed a school shooting on “fatherlessness.”

Kevin Roberts believes Project 2025 will win over the country’s “moveable middle,” but recent polling suggests that an overwhelming majority of Americans are against their core policy proposals.

Brian Healion of Delaware County is the second member of the extremist organization’s Philadelphia chapter to be sentenced for taking part in the attack on the U.S. Capitol, which was the violent culmination of former President Donald Trump’s failed attempt to have the results of the 2020 presidential election overturned.
